German TPU Paint Protection Film

Vernox Elite PPF

Four aliphatic TPU variants from 190 to 210 microns, built on Elastollan by BASF and high performance TPU by Covestro, bonded with an Ashland adhesive system.

The technology

Aliphatic TPU,
engineered in layers.

Elite PPF is a multi-layer film. A functional top coat handles the surface — an integrated cashew coat on Elite 05, a nano ceramic finish on Elite 08. Beneath it, the aliphatic TPU body carries the film's strength and elasticity, and an Ashland adhesive system bonds it to the factory paint without residue.

Every variant includes an anti-yellowing barrier, heat self-healing (instant on Elite 08) and a hydrophobic surface, and carries an e-warranty of five or eight years depending on variant.

Top Coat

01

The outermost functional layer. Elite 05 uses an integrated cashew coat; Elite 08 uses a nano ceramic finish.

Aliphatic TPU

02

The structural body of the film — thermoplastic polyurethane supplied by BASF or Covestro depending on variant.

Adhesive

03

An Ashland adhesive system engineered for strong, residue-free bonding.

Vehicle Paint

04

The original factory finish the film is applied over and preserves.

The variants

Four films. One standard.

Benefits

What the film delivers.

01

Scratch Resistance

A resilient surface layer engineered to resist everyday marring.

02

Hydrophobic Surface

Water beads and releases from the film surface rather than sitting on it.

03

Self-Healing Technology

Heat self-healing across the range; instant self-healing on Elite 08.

04

High Gloss

Up to ≥95 GU at a 60° angle on Elite 08, and ≥90 GU on Elite 05.

05

Anti-Yellowing

An anti-yellowing barrier is built into every Elite PPF variant.

06

Strong Adhesion

An Ashland adhesive system that bonds firmly and removes without residue.

Installation

Applied by hand. Inspected twice.

  1. 01

    Inspect

The vehicle is assessed panel by panel and the film plan is confirmed.

  2. 02

    Prepare

Surfaces are decontaminated and prepared so the film can bond cleanly.

  3. 03

    Install

Film is positioned and worked into every contour and edge by hand.

  4. 04

    Refine

Edges, wraps and transitions are refined until the film reads invisible.

  5. 05

    Protect

The finished installation is inspected and handed over with its e-warranty.

Questions

Elite PPF, answered.

What is Vernox Elite PPF made from?

Every Elite PPF variant is built on an aliphatic thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) base film — Elastollan by BASF on Elite 05 and Satin Matte, aliphatic TPU by BASF on Jet Black, and high performance aliphatic TPU by Covestro on Elite 08 — bonded with an Ashland adhesive system.

Which variant should I choose?

Elite 08 is the flagship: 210 microns, an 8 year e-warranty, a nano ceramic finish, instant self-healing and ≥95 GU gloss. Elite 05 is the 190 micron gloss option with a 5 year e-warranty. Satin Matte and Jet Black deliver those finishes on the same 190 micron platform.

Does the film yellow over time?

Each Elite PPF variant includes an anti-yellowing barrier. Vernox does not publish additional durability claims beyond the stated e-warranty period for each variant.

Can the film be removed?

Yes. Elite PPF is specified as no residue, and the Ashland adhesive system is engineered for strong adhesion with clean removal. Removal should be carried out by a Vernox authorised installer.

Where can I have Elite PPF installed?

Elite PPF is applied by the Vernox installation network. Use the installer locator to find your nearest authorised branch offering PPF.
